Where it's happening:
Hôtel Horizon will be the home base for our wedding weekend. Located in the charming town of Sutton in Quebec's Eastern Townships, the hotel is equidistant from the mountain and the main street and can host up to 50 people (so, all of you!). You can choose between family (a queen bed and closed room with bunk beds), queen and king rooms in the main building or opt for one of the cabins on the property. Continental breakfast is included with all the rooms in the main building.
There are cross-country trails, a skating rink, a heated indoor pool, an outdoor hot tub and a sauna, so bring all relevant gear!
Room reservations are now open! King and queen rooms have been booked up (sorry, the hotel has very few), but there are still plenty of family rooms and cabins available. Considering that the wedding will be taking place during peak ski season in a popular ski town in one of Quebec's main ski areas, we highly recommend that you book your room sooner rather than later!
Getting there:
With Sutton being about halfway between Montreal and Burlington, you have your pick of airport to fly into, if that's how you're getting here. But you will have to rent a car for the last leg. There is a coach bus that goes between downtown Montreal and Bromont or a shuttle van you can hire to take you from the airport to Bromont. But Bromont is still 30 minutes away, and the whole trek would take three times as long and cost just as much as getting the car. The East Richford/Glen Sutton border crossing is the closest to the town if you're driving in from the States, and Sutton is just 15 minutes from the Vermont border.
Please let us know if transportation is an issue! With guests coming from so many of the same places, we can probably work something out. Email us at virtanguay@gmail.com
