The first day we met, I had no idea I was meeting the woman who would change my life

forever. It was a random Saturday morning, and I had just walked into Place of Victory

church for the first time, with the intent to join the choir as an instrumentalist. Interestingly,

the choir were preparing for their Arise concert and I was directed to Francess to give her my

shirt size.

That’s how our first conversation began. I won’t lie, I was strangely intrigued by her

presence. As we spoke, I discovered we were from the same region and local government in

Edo state. The initial purpose of the conversation was lost in my deep admiration for her

and that was how we exchanged contacts.

It’s still one of my favorite memories.

Forward, she mentioned she was in a relationship, and although I didn’t know the details, I

felt it didn’t bring her much joy. However, I told myself not to read too much into it. I didn’t

want to be that guy, the one who overstepped or complicated her life. So, I stayed friendly,

respectful, and supportive, choosing instead to admire her quietly from a distance.

Months passed, and one day, I noticed something had changed. She seemed lighter,

happier, her smile brighter. Through a passing conversation, I realized she had ended things

with her ex. It felt like a door had opened, so I started praying and seeking confirmation from

God. I wanted to be sure she was ready, and I didn’t want to jeopardize the friendship we’d

built.

I got a message directly from God during the 2023 Arise program which was “what you are

looking for outside is inside with you”

. Immediately I intensified my prayers and it got clearer

that the message was about my dear Francess.

Over time, we grew closer. We shared more conversations, more laughs, and more

moments together getting to know each other while we were both praying to receive

confirmations. Then, about a year later (1/1/2024), she agreed to be my girlfriend after

several personal confirmations. At first I didn't realize she had just said yes to me, until she

pointed it out that she just agreed to be my girlfriend. Oh wow!! That was my first reaction

while i was in awe and unbelief. hahahah. I can still remember how overjoyed I was like the

world had finally given me exactly what I’d been waiting for.

7 months into the year 2024 and i went on my knees proposing, although i forgot the speech

I rehearsed. I was nervous, sweaty and tensed but i felt total peace when she said yes . She radiates peace, joy, grace and beauty and this among many others are

why i can’t wait to get on this beautiful long life journey with her.

A year later after agreeing to be my girlfriend, and here we are. I’m getting married to the

most beautiful woman in the world. God bless the day I met you baby.

How I walked into a church, completely unaware that I was about to meet the best part of my

life.

Francess, My Bee, Mi Quokka, I love you. Thank you for bringing joy, beauty, and purpose

into my life. You are, and always will be, my greatest blessing.
