After a series of frustrating dating misadventures, Franchesca and Jordan both decided to put their faith in that most modern of matchmakers: an internet algorithm.

From their very first date — whacking tiny balls across manicured, fake grass — the connection was immediate. Jordan was quickly smitten with Franchesca’s brilliant smile and razor-sharp wit. Franchesca, for her part, was mesmerized by Jordan’s uncanny ability to flawlessly rap 90s hip-hop classics while sinking hole-in-ones around windmills and spinning clown heads. Talent is talent.

At the end of their four-hour mini-golf marathon, Franchesca graciously suggested that Jordan might want her phone number — a subtle but necessary nudge. And just like that, the love story began to bloom.

Since then, Jordan has brought the wild ideas; Franchesca, the calendar and color-coded execution plan. Over the next 20 months, they racked up a solid list of firsts: they go-karted through the streets of Tokyo, caught a Broadway show, rode a horse-drawn carriage through Central Park, dabbled in horticulture (with mixed results), completed dozens of house projects, and logged an impressive number of hours on movie and TV marathons. The common thread? Adventure and learning — two things they both cherish. Bonus points if snacks are involved.

Then, on June 22, 2025, Jordan shocked Franchesca by dropping to one knee in Omaha — the land of steaks, college baseball dreams, and now, a memory for the ages. There was a long beat of stunned silence, followed by Franchesca blurting out, “Yes, of course!” — before realizing Jordan hadn’t technically asked the question yet. (Minor detail.)
