Jasmine and Francisco met online in 2020 during the pandemic. Jasmine was away at college during the shut down in Chico. Francisco was at home in Turlock. God brought the two together!

Francisco and Jasmine began dating almost immediately! Francisco would make the long journey from Turlock to Chico as much as he could. They were long distant while Jasmine finished getting her degree and credential at Chico State.

In 2022 Jasmine graduated with her degree and credential and moved back home to Merced. Francisco and Jasmine were no longer long distant!

In 2023 Jasmine and Francisco each found a relationship with God. They have both made the decision to follow Christ and making Him the center point of their relationship was crucial for taking the next step in their relationship.

On February 18th, 2024 after church services, Francisco dragged Jasmine to Sacramento. Jasmine was under the impression that Francisco was in dire need of Boiling Crab (his favorite restaurant). Jasmine was questioning why in the world did they have to travel all the way to Sacramento on a rainy Sunday night. She figured it was just classic Francisco being stubborn, so she let it slide (he was paying after all :)

After picking up their dinner and driving in the pouring rain, Francisco makes a stop. He pulls into the driveway of the Art Studio that he asked Jasmine out in about 3 and a half years prior. Jasmine is completely shocked and confused. Francisco is acting as cool as a cucumber. He smiles big and asks Jasmine if she remembers this place. Of course she did!

After unloading the car, Francisco asks Jasmine to put the code in to enter the studio. Jasmine opens the door to a room filled with rose petals and candles. She is so confused. She sees pictures of them on the walls and is immediately wondering if a random person did this! How weird! She then sees BIG light up letters reading "Marry Me" and turns to Francisco about to ask him what this is all about. She turns to see Francisco on his knee at the door. Jasmine is completely speechless. Frozen in time. She begs Francisco to please come inside and keeps asking "who did this?!" Francisco says "I can't get up until you answer my question". Jasmine never heard the question. He repeats "Jasmine, will you marry me?"

And the rest is history! (fyi Jasmine remained speechless the rest of the night)
