Getting to the castle

The castle sits into the hillside above the city of Florence. The most convenient way to arrive at the castle is by taxi.

It is generally best to book taxi's in advance. For guests staying in a hotel, you can ask your hotel concierge to organize this for you.

The drive to the castle from Florence city centre will take around 20-25 minutes and should cost around 20 Euros. For guests staying in apartments or in areas outside of Florence, the following phone numbers can be used to book a taxi.

Getting back from the castle

Transport for the end of the wedding has been pre-arranged to take guests from the castle and into the centre of Florence for those who wish to do. Guests will be dropped at the central train station. This should be walking distance to city centre accommodations

Of course, if you would like to ring or pre- book a taxi for a certain time to take you back to your accommodation, then you are more than welcome to do so. You will need to do this if you are staying in a nearby village, like Fiesole! If you are staying at a hotel, they will organise this for you.

If and when you decide to book transport options, in Italy they may not be the most punctual of people but we don't mind and neither should you. Just go with it!
