Please note that the area is quite remote, and taxis are few and far between! If required, these would have to be organised well in advance.

Travel recommendations

Perugia

We recommend flying into Perugia San Francesco d'Assisi Airport, located conveniently near Passignano, where we suggest guests stay. Ryanair fly from London Stansted to Perugia typically once daily, and British Airways fly from London Heathrow although less regularly. Prices do tend to fluctuate, so we recommend booking flights as soon as possible.

Getting from Perugia Airport to Passignano:

Driving from Perugia Airport to Passignano: ∼30 minutes. There are typically taxis outside of the airport, and a number of reasonable car rental options. We have rented cars via www.holidayautos.com in the past.

Getting the train from Perugia Airport to Passignano: Perugia Airport -> Perugia Ponte S. Giovanni (this is the main train station and we recommend getting the bus to P.S.Giovanni Staz., 12 minutes), Perugia Ponte S. Giovanni -> Passignano Sul Trasimeno (∼37 minutes).

Alternative Options

If the timing of the flights to Perugia don't work for you and/or you fancy visiting another Italian city on your trip, there are plenty of other flight options.
