Our Love Story

We have been able to experience so much of life together already; praise God for our highs and lows! From the beginning, we have tried to keep God at the center of our relationship, as there is still room for growth, but without His goodness, we would not have been able to be where we are now. We enjoy the little things in life, and as you'll see below, we have also celebrated big moments together. Thank you to everyone who has been present in our lives, prayed for us, and watched us grow as a couple. We ask for your continued prayers as we continue to pursue the Lord's will in the vocation of marriage!

Our first picture together! We met at the Hispanic College Institute at Fort Hays State University during the summer of our last couple of high school years. From there, we stayed in touch, not thinking anything or much of it since Frankie lived in Wichita and Yesenia lived in Hays.

Our first picture together! We met at the Hispanic College Institute at Fort Hays State University during the summer of our last couple of high school years. From there, we stayed in touch, not thinking anything or much of it since Frankie lived in Wichita and Yesenia lived in Hays.
We officially started dating! After Frankie made the visit to Hays and brought Yesenia flowers, played putt putt golf and ate at El Dos with our families. We spent more time texting, FaceTiming and were able to hang out one more time in person before taking the leap to date.

Yesenia graduated from Hays High School! There were SO many memories from the moment we started dating - school dances (at Hays High and Bishop Carroll), time at the lake, our birthdays, movie dates, sports events, and getting to know our families. COVID did not stop us from being present with each other!

COVID did not stop us from being present with each other!
Our first year together! This was big for us because we've never been in a serious and long-term relationship. Also, being long-distance had it struggles as high schoolers, but God is good, and He had a bigger plan for us. These photos are some of our favorites. Big thanks to Frankie's cousins!

Prom! This was us at Frankie's senior prom, as we weren't able to go to Yesenia's due to COVID. Shout out Grandpa Gene and Grandma Karen, for letting us take pictures with their sweet rides!

Frankie graduated from Bishop Carroll Catholic High School! Another big milestone for us as a couple, especially Frankie. Nerves were setting in as Yesenia finished her first year in college, and Frankie moved onto bigger things as well!

Dance, dance, dance! One of our favorite things to do is celebrate others at their quinceaneras, weddings, or anything else. We love to dance, and on this day we were able to celebrate Yesenia's cousin, Arely, at her quince!

Our first concert! We were able to go with Frankie's parents and brother to watch Lee Bryce preform. This was Yesenia's first concert ever!

Jesus, Family, and Football! We celebrated a Chief's win in Kansas City with Yesenia's family. This was our first time at an NFL football game together, and yes, Frankie was representing the Broncos in KC!

Thanksgiving in Disney World! We were able to travel to Florida with Frankie's family for a week and celebrated Thanksgiving at Disney. This was our first "big trip" together as a couple.

Christmas in Branson, MO! We were able to celebrate Christmas and New Year's in Branson with Yesenia's family. It's important for us to be able to make new memories with those we love the most, therefore, holidays with our families are a must!

SEEK Conference! We were able to attend the SEEK conference at St. Louis, MO for the start of the year. This was a big change in our relationship as Yesenia then moved to Wichita to complete her internship. We were very excited to FINALLY be living in the same city!

Yesenia Graduates FHSU! Frankie was one of Yesenia's biggest supporters as she finished up the last few months of her undergraduate school. Little did Yesenia know that Frankie bought the engagement ring one month prior and was waiting for the perfect moment!

Top Golf Pros! During the summer after Yesenia's graduation, we were able to do more, like double dates with Frankie's brother and his girlfriend, Isaac and Jocelyn, at Top Golf. We had lots of movie nights, ice cream runs, going to mass together every Sunday, and being more present in our lives. Holiday Festivities! We absolutely love everything about Christmas - lights, the joy, champurrado, cookies, and Jesus! What made it even better this year was being able to do the little things together, like go to this fun dinner, bake Christmas cookies, and spend time with both of our families!

We got engaged! We went to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church to pray before Frankie's trip to Utah.
