What started as a very casual night getting pizza with friends changed both of our lives forever.

Our sweet friends Jules & Tad invited mutual friends to a local pizza bar for a fun night out. This was not a blind date introduction, but a serendipitous moment. Ben abruptly switched seats to sit next to Gabbi, and well… as cliche as it sounds - the rest was history. Several laughs and a few beers later, we spent the rest of the night getting to know one another, before ending the night up on stage singing karaoke to "Mr. Brightside" together. The following week we had our first date, axe throwing followed by a night out on Broadway, in downtown Nashville.

In August, Ben made the trip out to California to see a Southern California beach for the first time and then we made our way up to Nor Cal for him to meet the whole gang in Vacaville.

In early November, Gabbi joined Ben on a weekend getaway to Upstate New York to meet his friends and family, and take in the natural beauty of the Finger Lakes.

At the end of November, just over a year after the night we met, Ben proposed and Gabbi said yes. With both of our families present for the day, it was perfect!

We are both so excited for our next chapter together during our season of engagement, and more so, the next one: a happy, healthy, loving, committed marriage.
