Michael and Gabbie’s story starts in July of 2019. They were both home for the summer in between their Sophomore and Junior years of college and were attending a party of a mutual friend.


After being there for sometime, Gabbie had realized that the man who had been passing her beer all night was Michael Harshbarger, as he looked quite different from the last time she saw him in high school! 


The only thing Gabbie had remembered about Michael, was that he was the brother of Lauren and Leeanne, whom she had played traveling softball with. Since Michael never attended any softball games, it took Gabbie several years of knowing the whole Harshbarger family before learning that there is actually 3 kids! (Surprise to Gabbie there’s ANOTHER sister which makes 4).

After the party, Michael had said goodnight and told Gabbie he would Snapchat her to continue their conversation. “Psht. Yeah right.” Gabbie thought as he probably says every time he leaves a party at UW Madison. 


To her surprise, the next day Michael’s name popped up on her phone and they haven’t stopped talking since! After dating for over 3 years, Michael finally proposed to Gabbie on a weekend getaway to Chicago.
Life lesson: go to your siblings events, you never know who you could meet 😉
