We met the week before Christmas 2020. Gabby was home from DC, visiting her family in Buffalo, when a mutual friend invited her out for coffee. They ended up at Greg's house and Gab and Greg didn't really talk much that day.

It wasn't until early February that our friend convinced each of us separately that we were asking about each other. Gabby agreed that Greg could have her number. Shortly after, Greg sent a sweet text asking to get to know each other. They texted for a while until Greg got up the courage to ask Gabby if she wanted to Facetime. After Facetiming for a month Greg asked Gabby if she wanted to go on a date with him. The next time Gabby was in Buffalo they went on their first date to Lake Effect Ice Cream.

For the rest of the spring and part of summer 2021, they took turns visiting each other in Buffalo and DC going on lots of adventures. Their best DC adventures were going to Great Falls Park and night monumenting. In July 2021, Greg helped Gab move back to Buffalo. They were both so relieved to not have to be long distance anymore!

Being in Buffalo meant that they got to spend more time together and more time with each other's friends and family, which was important to them. They also adopted two kitties, Ivy and Moss, with whom they are obsessed.

As time went on, the closer they became and the more sure they were that this was a relationship they were both serious about and that they were excited about a future together!

By June of 2022, Greg bought a ring and set the stone from Gabby's grandma's engagement ring in it because he knew how much it would mean to her. Then on July 2nd, he proposed at Crystal Beach at sunset. She said yes!

They are excited to keep climbing mountains, hanging out with Ivy and Moss, and growing together forever!
