<p style="text-align: left;">Gabby and Garrett first met in the fourth grade, when Garrett moved to Phillips from Fond du Lac, WI. Aside from chatting here and there, they didn't become friends until middle school. The romance didn't start until their sophomore year of high school, when Gabby was freshly 16 with a driver's license and Garrett still had a few months to wait for his. They started off strong with date to Subway and a boys basketball game (during which they didn't say one word to each other). However, their second date was way more successful than the first and the rest was history. Since then, Gabby and Garrett graduated high school together, and then went on to college together at UW Stevens Point. There, Garrett graduated one semester before Gabby with a degree in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences and a minor in Biology. Gabby finished her undergraduate degree one semester later with a degree in Wildlife Biology and Natural Resource Management, with a Pre-veterinary Tract and a minor in Chemistry. From there, they both moved back to Phillips, WI, where Garrett works for the USFS and Gabby works at the Phillips Vet Clinic. On June 19, 2024, Garrett finally proposed to Gabby! They are so excited to share their wedding day with all of you.<br /></p>

Gabby and Annikka have been best friends for nearly twenty years and met when they were in preschool. No one quite gets these two like they get each other. Throughout the years they’ve had countless sleep overs, bonfires, went to school together, and even worked several jobs together. They’ve been there for each other through major life events, and there’s no doubt they will someday be 90 years old, still giggling about things that happened in middle school. Annikka is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and lives with her boyfriend, Matt (who Gabby introduced Annikka to!) and their two guinea pigs! 

Annikka Johnson 

Emily is Gabby's oldest sister. Despite the age difference, Gabby and Emily are very close, and often call each other when driving or when they’re out for a walk. Emily is great person to vent to, and is always willing to listen. After graduating with her BS in Archeology from UW La Crosse, and her Masters at the University at Buffalo, NY, she is currently working on her PhD at the University of Pittsburgh. Emily lives with her husband, Kurt, her two cats, Rory and Sookie, and her dog, Nora.

Emily Eklund

Shelby is Gabby's middle-oldest sister. Gabby always saw Shelby as the "cool" older sister, which has continued through adulthood as Shelby travels and moves to new places! She graduated from UW La Crosse with a degree in childhood education. After living and teaching in Taiwan for five years, Shelby now lives in Istanbul, Turkey, teaching young children. She enjoys snorkeling, hiking, traveling, and trying new things!

Shelby Eklund 

Gabby originally met Montana in their Physics 1 course at UWSP, but they really didn't become friends until they started working together at PAW Health Network. Gabby and Montana have been best friends since, and even dressed up as Brennan and Dale from Step Brothers for Halloween (and were the only ones dressed up). Montana is always willing to match Gabby's energy during a hangout, and is one of the most genuine people Gabby has ever met. After graduating from UWSP, Montana passed her VTNE and is working at PAW as a CVT.

Montana Cruz 

Alison and Gabby got to know each other while working late into the night together at PAW Health Network. They hit it off instantly and have been best friends ever since! They love painting, exploring new places to eat, and watching reality TV together! Alison is one of the easiest people to talk to and is known for giving great advice. She is always willing to help, and is amazing to have a great laugh with! After graduating from UWSP, Alison lives in Stevens Point with her boyfriend, Christian and her two cats Prim and Dollop. She passed her VTNE, and works at PAW as a CVT. 

Alison Anthony 

Gabby and Julia met their freshman year of college in their animal biology class. They were lab partners, and although at first they weren't too fond of each other, they soon became best friends and have since had many adventures together! Their junior year, they both started an undergraduate research project on rusty crayfish! Julia has the best style, and the best sense of humor. She is always down for a game of pool or a delicious coffee. After graduating from UWSP, Julia is working as an optometry assistant in the Wausau area. She lives in Weston with her boyfriend, Jordan, and her two dogs, Sully and Chester.

Julia Nasiatka 

Wyatt is Garrett's younger brother. Growing up, you could find Wyatt and Garrett doing all sorts of questionable activities. If you want a good story, ask Wyatt about the time him and Garrett created a pulley system in their tree stand. It's not uncommon for Wyatt to just swing by Gabby and Garrett's house to eat dinner, watch TV, or steal Garrett for some type of "job." Wyatt currently goes to UW Green Bay, where he is completing his BS in business. You may also see Wyatt's Everything Business signs everywhere in the Conner's Lake area, which is a business Wyatt started when he was in high school. 

Wyatt Vetter 

Brendan is Garrett's oldest brother. Brendan is married to his beautiful wife, Lauren, and together they have two children, Chet and Raena. Brendan is always looking out for his younger brothers, and he and Lauren have been nothing but helpful to Garrett and Gabby as they find their footing after graduating college. Brendan loves to hunt and fish, play golf, and is always doing some type of project around the house.  

Brendan Vetter

Wade is Garrett's youngest brother. Wade loves all things sports, and can often be found playing basketball or throwing around a football. Wade will be going into his Sophomore year at Phillips High School. He grew up with Gabby at his house constantly, and often had to put up with any shenanigans his siblings got into. He has grown up to be quite a funny guy, extremely smart, and very athletic. 

Wade Vetter

Patrick is one of Garrett's closest friends. They met their junior year of college at UWSP, as both guys were majoring in fisheries and aquatic sciences. During college, they started multiple undergraduate research projects together, and both were officers in the American Fisheries Society. After college, Patrick went on to work for the USFS in Idaho, on the Salmon-Challis National Forest. Since then, Garrett has gone out to fish alpine lakes with Patrick in Idaho, and Patrick has visited Garrett in Phillips to fish as well. They also have spent time fishing Lake Michigan together.
