Get a good 2 mile walk in before the big day! This park is not too far from lodging, about 20 miles. There are other local trails near by in Newberry and Prosperity to explore. If you decide to go into Columbia, there are some river walk trails we love! Let us know if you need further recommendations.

Dreher Island State Park

Explore the Soda City Market in downtown Columbia from 9am-1pm every Saturday. This is something we enjoy as locals! It is about 40 miles from the Newberry area. If you’re in the area and want to explore outside of downtown, consider checking out “five points”and “the vista.”
