Gabby & Jesse

Our Story

2020 was a hard year for a lot of us. We endured a pandemic that isolated us from those we love, from the careers we've built and the lives we dreamt of living. Through it all, Gabby and Jesse were able to find each other and build an unbreakable bond and relationship. Jesse and Gabby met at Oasis Cannabis Dispensary as co-workers in late February of 2020, right before the pandemic. By mid-March, Jesse and Gabby found themselves to be one of the only 2 budtenders that were, thanfulfully, unaffected by COVID and still working. They got to learn a lot about each other during those days, and Gabby began to fall head over heels for Jesse. By the end of May, they were inseparable, best friends.

May 28, 2020, was the day they both agreed to take things to the next step and make things official. Within the first few months, Jesse told Gabby, "I think I love you," solidifying everything Gabby was feeling as well, making her feel safe to love and live a happy life like she had always prayed for. They spent their first dates eating COVID take-out in Jesse's truck, outside of the restaurants they went to. Every day that went by, their love for each other grew. Now, almost 5 years later, the flame of love is burning stronger than ever.

Gabby:

I was not a big believer in "love at first sight," or even love at all until I walked into Oasis for my first day of work. I remember scanning the room nervously to see the people I'd be working with, and when my eyes found Jesse's, my whole world flipped upside down. I found myself completely enthralled by his presence, his laughter, and his passion for life. I was drawn to him like a moth to a flame. A friendship was fostered, and before we both knew it, we were spending hours with each other getting to know one another and delve deeper into each other's past, present, and future goals. I was completely in love with him at this point, and I knew there was no way I was going to live my life without this man by my side.

Jesse's love for music, his family, his drive to be a better man every day, and his kind, protective soul made me realize how wrong I got it in the past. He redefined what love meant to me, and I knew very early on that this was the man I was going to marry and live the rest of my life with.

On May 28, 2020, we decided to take things to the next step and put a label to the blossoming relationship we had started, and I officially became, "Jesse's Girl" *queue music*. Ever since that day (and months before), I have thanked God for the blessing Jesse has been in my life. The level of patience and understanding he has for me has helped me grow into a more confident and positive person. He is my rock.

The day Jesse dropped to his knee to ask for my hand in marriage, I was in disbelief. 4 years of memories flooded my brain as I stood and stared down at the beautiful ring this handsome man was presenting to me. I looked from the ring and into Jesse's eyes, and for the first time, I saw my future in clear view. In Jesse's eyes, I saw a life I had begged God for. I saw a man willing to love and protect me fearlessly. I saw a man who was going to continue to build a healthy foundation for our future family. I saw my forever. Of course - after ugly crying - I said yes, and to this day, it is the best yes I have ever said, and I am proud to be Jesse's forever.

From our many, spur of the moment California Beach trips, nerding out in Disneyland, to smoking some of the best weed in Denver, CO and seeing our favorite EDM artists, there is no other person I'd want to experience this life with than Jesse. With him, every day is a new adventure.

Jesse:

For the longest time, I wasn’t looking for love, and from the moment I saw Gabby, I knew that there was something that I yearned and needed from her. Little did I know that just a few short months later, it was her love that I knew I couldn't ever live without. When Gabby popped into my life, I don’t think it could have come at a better time than when it did. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever met or seen in my life, she had a super infectious personality that I wanted to keep learning and exploring, she had a smile that still lights up any room she walks into, I could go on and on but I think you get the picture that she was perfect for me. She was everything I had ever asked god for my entire life. Someone to love me for me and want this life with me. The way she has shown me the beauty in this life I could never repay her for. It’s made me more patient, more loving, more level-headed, and has kept me striving to be a better man every day for her and our future family. Although at first I played very hard to get because I didn’t know if this was something that was going to work or last. Here we are almost 5 years later, madly in love, building a small family and life together, taking on life’s obstacles together, taking trips to Sedona, Jerome, California, Colorado & different music festivals and concerts. She’s my rock, my best friend, my confidant, my forever & always. Thanks for being my honey bee and making me the happiest man on the face of this planet by taking my hand in marriage into this life and the next ❤️ 🍯 🐝
