We both met at NSI (New Student Indoctrination) training up at Naval Station Great Lakes before college in July 2019. Unbeknownst to us, we both were headed to Auburn University that fall. From the beginning, we were in the same friend group in ROTC. From constantly hanging out outside of class and studying together, we grew pretty close as friends. Really, we were just friends. About a year of friendship was enough to convince each other we were meant to be more than friends. Having that year of friendship was a solid foundation for us to blossom as a couple. However, we owe our relationship all to our Creator. Matthew 6:33 states But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. After about 3 months together, we realized that our relationship would crumble without God in the center. Throughout the last three and a half years, the love that came from devotion to Gods word, surrounding ourselves with a community of believers, and encouragement toward one another, was more than we could imagine. We are confident that through continuing in these things, God will provide just as much as He did at Auburn. We are looking forward to our future together in the Navy and Marine Corps and are thankful for all of our friends and family who are supporting us along the way.
