Our Wedding

Austin and Gabby were not so subtly set up by Gabby's best friend, Melanie, who went to college and ran track with Austin at Benedictine College. They started skiing together along with Melanie and Jack, her fiancé at the time (surprise, they're married now!) Austin was so impressed by Gabby's stellar skiing skills, including losing one of her skis and sliding down the mountain on her butt, that he had no choice but to ask her out by driving to her house during a blizzard in March of 2024. Gabby said yes to the date and the rest is history. Just kidding, Gabby informed Austin that she was not usually excited to go on dates (shocker), but that she was actually excited to go out this time. They went on many dates after that, going from Rockies games where Austin had to wear the best hat ever made, the St. Louis Cardinals hat, after losing a bet they had, to concerts to pickleball and much much more. The summer and fall of 2024 included lots of road trips and travel to see family and friends and watch some of their closest people get married and party as each other's plus ones (shoutout Melanie and Grace, thanks for such fun weddings!!!!) The winter came with holidays and spending more time with family, having their first Christmas together in Denver and skiing together on Christmas Eve. The following Spring of 2025 came, and Austin and Gabby went home to Mascoutah to "visit family" with no ulterior motives from Austin at all, but Austin seemed very relieved when arriving back in Denver. A little over a month later, Austin proposed on Gabby's doorstep of her apartment (not so unlike how he first asked her out) and she said YES!! He also surprised her with a trip to Kansas City to see some near and dear friends and family to celebrate with. And THEN, the rest was history.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites O'Fallon/Shiloh by IHG

Only an 8 minute drive from the church and 22 minutes from the reception hall.  We do not have a hotel block at this location, but it is the closest hotel just outside of town!

Best Western Plus MidAmerica Hotel

For those who are flying, we recommend flying into STL and renting a car out to Mascoutah! Most airlines fly into STL. It’s about a 40 minute drive to Mascoutah! 

St. Louis Lambert International Airport

Airbnb and Vrbo are also options for accommodations, there are a few locations in Mascoutah and more in the surrounding towns. Feel free to check them out as well! 

Travel

About a 30 minute drive from Mascoutah, the St. Louis Zoo is amazing, FREE, and is located in Forest Park, where there are many other outdoor things to do.

Belleville is a nearby town and its main street includes lots of shops, restaurants, and a movie theatre!

if you're looking for the local watering hole, look no further! A great spot to grab a drink between the wedding and reception, or just hang out and catch up with friends and family.

For the Cards fans!! There just might be a game in St. Louis our wedding weekend, or just hang out at Ball Park Village. -according to Austin, you can enjoy the SECOND best MLB stadium #flytheW

Busch Stadium

One of the most beautiful churches in the United States! There are scheduled tours and also times in which you can visit the church to pray and marvel at its beauty!
