Gabby and Al met on June 22 as a result of matching on Hinge. Gabby had an early flight the morning of June 23rd, so she informed Al she wouldn't be able to stay out too late.

But, after meeting, they stayed up talking and laughing, immediately realizing they had found their person. Al attributes knowing that Gabby was the one the moment that she asked him if he wanted to fly her Buccee's kite by Lake Michigan. Gabby subsequently invited herself on a second date to the American Football show Al had tickets for.

They soon spent as many nights together as they could, talking about nothing and everything at once. Gabby would affectionately refer to Al as her “husband” when speaking to friends, and Al, would send his own friends bulleted lists detailing every reason he would one day marry her.

From their first night, they knew they had found their person. And ever since, they have chosen each other every day.
