Q + A

Where are Welcome Drinks & Do I Need to RSVP?

Welcome drinks will be hosted at Jocks & Jills Sports Bar & Grill. This restaurant is located less than 10 minutes away from the Hilton DoubleTree Hotel on Yorkmont, which is one of our two featured hotel blocks. Staying at this DoubleTree location would be ideal if you want to be close to welcome drinks, the reception, and the afterparty. Yes, you do need to RSVP. As you RSVP for the weekend, you will see welcome drinks as one of the optional events for you to attend. We kindly ask that you RSVP at least one week before the event so we can let the venue know how many people to expect.

How Do I Know If I Have A Plus One?

The Knot website allows us to record everyone directly associated with an invitation. So, all invited persons in the party should populate automatically. However, we know technology fails so please reach out if you need clarification. Additionally, let us know if you need a plus one, or don't need a plus one, along with if your children will be in attendance. We know things change!

How do I know if I have been invited to Welcome Drinks and the Rehearsal Dinner?

Everyone is invited to all of the events for the weekend! This includes Welcome Drinks, Rehearsal Drinks & Dinner, and then finally, our Ceremony and Reception! RSVP for each event separately so we can have an accurate count. If you have already RSVP'd for the Ceremony and Welcome Drinks, please be sure to RSVP for the Rehearsal Dinner on Saturday evening so we can have an accurate guest count.

Will your Ceremony be live-streamed?

Yes, it will be live-streamed on their YouTube account. We are working with the coordinators to ensure a link and event are created with enough time so that we can ensure our family and friends have the option to watch remotely or to attend in person.

What's the dress code?

We want everyone to feel comfortable at the reception. However, the only dress code we ask you to observe is the Church's preferred guidelines. Men, we ask that you wear slacks/dress pants (please no shorts! Save that for the reception). Jackets are not required. Women, please try to have shoulders covered, either by dress or shawl. Dresses should be modest in length. Again, changing before the reception is encouraged for dancing!

Can We Take Photos & Videos At The Ceremony?

Yes- but you will still see our "unplugged" sign upon entering the ceremony because we want everyone to be in this amazing moment with us. However, if you wish to photograph, then we ask you respect our photographer's while they take our photos. Family and friends will have access to these photos and we know you will enjoy them just as much as we will once we receive them! We thank you SO much and appreciate you for understanding our wishes!

Where do we sit?

We want everyone to feel included in our love & celebration! So, we are opting for open seating for both the ceremony and the reception. The only exception will be that some family & member's of the bridal party will have dedicated seating at the ceremony. We know people will be up and mingling, and we hope new friendships are formed "across the aisle" on our special day!

What do we do between the ceremony and reception?

The wedding party will be taking photos during this time at the Church. Immediate family should remain for photos with the bride, groom, and others. However, there is a change in venue for the reception. Please head to our venue at 4:30PM and enjoy our signature drinks! Before then, enjoy a nap, shower, and outfit change since it is a Carolina summer night! We cannot wait to join everyone for our Cocktail Hour and appetizers!

What's for dinner and dessert?

Cocktail hour will feature a few different things from goat cheese crostini to various skewers! For the main course, we are going to have a buffet-style all-out BBQ spread. The crown jewel though, is dessert. Thank you to The Sweetest Thing Ice Cream Shoppe for accommodating an ice cream food truck with flavors that are homemade with classic and unique flavors, alike! If you still have room to eat, we will offer late-night fried chicken and burger sliders. Please note that we are striving to have options for everyone, so please reach out to us if you have any type of dietary restrictions or allergies so we can ensure you're taken care of! This also applies to dessert; please, let us know so we can best accommodate everyone!

Last, but not least, Is there an after party?

Of course!!! We ask that all guests join us at Angry Ales or Mooseheads Grill to continue our celebration.
