Gabe and Savannah’s love story began as most love stories do, on a dating app quickly followed by a global pandemic.
On a foggy morning in January of 2020, Gabe rolled out of bed the day following his 25th birthday to meet a girl who he had so eloquently wooed using the opening line of "Howdy!".
Sav showed up to find him with not one, not two, but three beverages—a water, a coffee, and a Bloody Mary; a move that left Savannah questioning what exactly she had gotten herself into. That day, the only thing stronger than Gabe’s bladder was their instant connection to one another.
One month later the COVID lockdowns hit, forcing Gabe and Savannah to spend more quality time together than most couples do in five years. Dinner dates and nights out were quickly replaced by outdoor walks, card games and far too many puzzles. It was as if the couple had fast-forwarded to their life in the retirement home. This undivided time became the building blocks to a life together, which eventually led the couple to ditching their weekly commutes back and forth on the 405 in favor of sharing an apartment together in Hermosa Beach.
Fast forward to a cloudy day in September of 2024–what Savannah believed to be a quiet pizza-and-movie night turned into a beautiful proposal on the ocean bluffs of Palos Verdes followed by an evening surrounded by family and friends.
The two have remained busy since that day, between job changes, career achievements, moves across the city, and of course, the addition of a new member to the family, their sweet cocker spaniel Bailey Jean who was “foster failed” the moment she trotted in the door.
Through it all, Gabe and Savannah continue to grow in their relationship and love for one another. And now, they are onto their most exciting chapter yet—marriage. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all!
