How We Met

Although our paths crossed many times at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City, Georgia, Gabe and I did not truly meet until June of 2021. Introduced through mutual friends the summer before college, we felt an instant spark that quickly grew into something undeniable. By the end of that summer, just one week before we each left for our freshman year of college, Gabe asked me to be his girlfriend.

Our Love Story

From the very beginning, our relationship was built on love, faith, and the hope of a future together. Even though we attended different schools, me at Georgia College and State University and Gabe at the University of North Georgia, we found joy in every visit, every road trip, and every shared moment. Gabe even made sure I would never attend a Zeta date night alone, as he never missed a single one, a simple yet tender reflection of the devotion that carried us through those early years.

After three years, Gabe had graduated and returned home, while I was preparing to graduate a year early. It felt as though the long distance was finally coming to an end. But soon after, Gabe accepted a new job in Jacksonville, Florida, and once again we were separated by miles. Though it was not what we had planned, we embraced this new season with the same patience and devotion that had carried us through before. Our love only grew stronger, proving time and again that distance could never diminish what we shared.

The Proposal

One year later, during Gabe’s family’s annual Hilton Head reunion, a tradition that has taken place the same week every year since his mother was a little girl, Gabe had something extraordinary planned. On the very beach where his father, Albert, proposed to his mother, Tracy, thirty years earlier, Gabe knelt down and asked me to be his wife. Surrounded by the ocean waves and the weight of family tradition, I joyfully said yes.

As if the moment were not already perfect, Gabe had planned one more surprise. That evening, my family arrived in Hilton Head to celebrate. After the proposal, they were waiting inside the condo, ready to embrace us with tears, joy, and laughter. It was a night overflowing with love, a moment that beautifully joined our two families together, and a memory we will cherish forever.

Looking Ahead

Now, as we look forward to our wedding day, we do so with grateful hearts, knowing that every twist and turn of our story has led us to this moment. With faith as our foundation, and surrounded by the love of our families and friends, we cannot wait to begin our forever together.
