It was Summer of 2017, Jackson had just graduated from Lee Scott High School, and I had wrapped up my freshman year at Auburn. I was involved in RUF, and just attending another summer fellowship meeting when Jackson and a friend showed up. I met him briefly, but did not think about it again. Fast forward a few weeks later, I received a last minute call to be a counselor at a Christian camp at Auburn for a week. I hesitantly agreed to the opportunity not knowing what was in store. I showed up on the first day of the camp, and a cute, familiar face walked in late from church. We flirted back and forth the whole week, and two weeks later went on our first date. The rest was history! Jackson and I learned that neither one of us signed up for the camp, but two counselors dropped out at the very last minute: One being a guy counselor, and the other being a girl. Fast forward to September 11, 2020, Jackson asked me to be His wife. God providentially intertwined our paths, and we are thankful for His guidance and direction. Every detail of our days comes through the blueprints of His meticulous care for us, so we are encouraged, eager, and joyful that God is entrusting us with the gift of marriage.
