I am the luckiest girl in the world. I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world because in March of 2019, I met Bev Kramer. Once I turned 23 back in 2019, I decided it was time for my very first apartment. I was able to quickly find the perfect space above a dentist’s office on 611 where Bev worked. I remember moving my things in one day and hearing the sweetest, “Hello!” as I was carrying a box through the door. From that moment on, Bev and I became fast friends. She would bring me cookies on her break and I would visit her in the office for quick chats. Now at this time, I was working in my family’s restaurant so I was never home all that much. One day, I ran home mid shift to grab something before running back and Bev was outside so we chatted a bit. This chat was the first I was hearing of her son, Devon. I vividly remember thinking to myself, “I wonder if he is cute.” Fast forward a couple months and the Kramer family visited my family’s restaurant for dinner and I realized the answer was yes, he was VERY cute. Little did I know, September 7th, 2019 was the day I met my future husband. Devon Kramer shook my hand, said nice to meet you, gave me his best smile, and I was done for. The second he stepped out of the restaurant, I turned to my coworker and said “I am in love with that man.” From then, he and Bev would stop in the restaurant for quick lunches or just to say hello and it was the highlight of my day. Eventually, Devon started coming in and buying gift cards (I found out later he never actually needed the gift cards) and I looked forward to it every time it happened. He eventually worked up the nerve to ask me out on a date and on December 28th, 2019, I had my last first date. Once he dropped me off and walked me to my door, I immediately called my sister and told her that this was the man I was going to marry. I have never in my life met someone as beautiful, kind, honest, loving, and patient as Devon Kramer. I don’t want to say I am obsessed with him, but that is exactly what I am. He is my soulmate, biggest supporter, and my best friend. He makes me feel loved, comforted, safe, and beautiful. I always tell people if I could have built the perfect man, it would be Devon. Luckily for me, God had already made him. I could go on and on about Devon because he is my favorite topic, but if you know him, you already know how wonderful he is. So yes, I am the luckiest girl in the world. I had the most beautiful woman, inside and out, introduce to me to her amazing son, and on October 12th, 2024 I will be lucky enough to call him my husband.
