Gabriela and Matthew first met at California Trail Junior High when they were 13 years old in history class. They went to the same high school, and then both moved out of state. Matthew in Colorado and Gabriela in New York.

It had been 10 years since they had connected, and Gabriela was in Kansas City on contract to do a show. One night she randomly posted a camel photo from a trip to Morocco. That same night Gabriela had a dream with Matthew Bossolono in it. The next morning, she saw that he had liked the photo. Taking this as a sign, she did what any other woman would do.... she slid into his DM's and two weeks later he was on her doorstep with a rose. The rest is history
