Today, connections often begin with a swipe, ours started with a match on Hinge. Our first date was at a quaint Italian restaurant; the sort of place you might walk past, if not for its reputation as a culinary gem. Over fresh, daily-made pasta, we laughed and shared stories. Although Gabriela had only recently moved to Florida from Brazil, fate had it that we were born and raised just an hour apart in New Jersey. Both wanting to extend the time together, we adventured over to an iconic local ice cream parlor. Little did we know that this was the beginning of our story.

Our love for adventure took us on our first trip together, a camping trip to North Florida. While Gaby might have needed some convincing about the joys of tent life, our journey of travel was just beginning. We went to Brazil to meet her family and friends, explored the beaches of Isla Mujeres (where we'll tie the knot), road-tripped to Chicago, and cruised the Caribbean.

Fast forward through countless sunsets and laughter, we found ourselves amidst the breathtaking Andes. At the peak of Rainbow Mountain, Kevin got down on one knee and asked Gabriela to marry him. “Yes!” yelled Gaby, sealing our promise to explore the world and our life together, forever. Now, as we prepare to write our next chapter together in Florida, we reflect on the journey that brought us from a simple swipe to sharing our lives, our dog Maya, and soon, our last name.
