Our Wedding

I had been dating for over 2 + years using multiple dating apps before I met Chris. I went on numerous dates only to find myself exhausted and pondering if whom I was looking for even existed. For those of you who knew me then, you know about the funny stories and situations I encountered during that time!! I eventually burned out and decided to enroll at Boston University to pursue a Paralegal Studies certification. I thought that it was time to focus on myself and let things happen organically. And, so it did! One evening after work, the commuter train to Belmont was delayed, so I decided to open the Hinge App for browsing/entertainment purposes only. There was a message from Chris that read "Aspirational, when should we get started on this?" This was in reference to my life goal of visiting all of the U.S. National Parks. I giggled and replied that I wouldn't mind the company! It was an instant connection. We talked for hours and went on our first date the following week. Chris on the other hand, had just begun using the apps to date, and I was only his second date (lucky him that he didn't have to search much)! Rapidly, Chris and our beloved Golden Retriever, Beatrice became my life. We consider ourselves lucky enough to have found one another a few months before the COVID-19 pandemic (October 2019). Our love for the outdoors/hiking was instrumental as our dates in 2020 consisted of exploring New England. We truly brought out the best in each other. Together we were bolder and better versions of ourselves. Nonetheless, our relationship faced many obstacles, which led to several failed break- up attempts that didn't last very long. Ultimately, we both realized that our love was stronger than anything we were facing and being apart was not an option. Unexpectedly, Chris took a leap of faith and proposed to me in October 2020 at the site of our first date, The Boston Public Garden. It just so happened that a street performer was performing Ed Sheeran's Photograph at that very moment. It was simple, yet very romantic! A few weeks later (a week after our 1 year anniversary), we eloped. We made it official at the site of our second date, The Drumlin Farm in Lincoln, MA. It was quite interesting getting married while wearing masks and socially distancing. Luckily, we were allowed to remove our masks during key parts of the ceremony. At the time, we didn't know how long the pandemic would last or if the obstacles we faced would disappear, so eloping made a lot of sense. Not everything has been sunshine and roses since then. Our marriage has survived so much heartache, loss and adversity. I remember what my dad said to me when things started getting very rocky "It's about to get very hard and the only way that you guys can survive this is to hold on to each other." Our love has truly been our fortress and we are thankful for this new beginning in our home in Colorado. Today, we are finally in a better place in our lives and we are so excited to be able to finally have our dream wedding alongside family and friends. We have been through so much to get to our wedding date that we want our wedding to be the renewal of our love for one another and the symbol of a new beginning. We are thrilled and thankful that all of you beautiful people will be part of it. See you in Mexico!

The State of Queretaro is known for it's wine and cheese. Here's a map of the most popular wineries and cheese farms. The town of Tequisquiapan, which is about an hour west of Santiago de Queretaro is probably the perfect spot to begin your journey. We believe you can purchase a tour in the Historic Center (Downtown area) of Queretaro if you're not renting a car. Magic Towns (Pueblos Magicos) The Magic Towns program is an initiative established by Mexico's department of tourism to distinguish and promote towns around the country that offer visitors "cultural richness, historical relevance, cuisine, art crafts, and great hospitality". Queretaro is home to six Pueblos Magicos. Bernal being one of the best. Also, about an hour from Queretaro, is the city of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.
