What is the dress code?
We are requesting guests to wear black tie attire for the wedding ceremony and reception. For ladies, this can be floor-length dresses. Gentlemen in black tuxedos or suits. We ask for guests to avoid white dresses. Bridesmaids will be in pink; however, this color is not off-limits for guests as the color will be on display throughout the wedding and villa theme. For an Italian wedding, there is no such thing as too much!
For the welcome party, guests are asked to wear cocktail attire. For ladies, this can include cocktail dresses or jumpsuits, and for men, dress shirts and pants, jacket optional.
For brunch, guests can wear casual resort-wear. For ladies, this can look like sun dresses, linens, and skirts, with men in pants and a shirt, linens, et cetera. After brunch, we will be visiting Pienza, a historic village and wine town, enjoying scenic views, local wine, cheese, and pasta!
Will there be children?
Although we love the little ones, we kindly request that this is an adults-only event. We hope you understand, and enjoy a night of dancing and fun!
What will the weather be like?
The weather for Tuscany/Umbria in early May is expected to be sunny, with temperatures ranging between high 50s-60s in the morning and at night, and mid to high 70s during the day. Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. In case of inclement weather, there will be backup spaces indoors. Ladies, please also be aware that the venue is grassy, so plan your shoes accordingly!
Can I bring my plus-one?
Our cozy venue means a tight guest list. Due to space, the guest list includes those in established relationships. If you have a significant other, their name should be included on the invitation. Thank you for understanding!

When Should I RSVP by?
Formal invitations have been sent with an RSVP deadline of 31Aug2024. We ask that guests RSVP as soon as possible so that we can give an accurate count to the venue. We understand the cost of travel and taking time off from work may be too much for some. Please join us if you are able, but we completely understand if you cannot. We are looking forward to an amazing vacation with close friends and family as we tie the knot!
Can Guests Take Their Own Photos of the Ceremony?
We ask that guests kindly refrain from using their phones during the ceremony, including taking photos. Professional photography and videography will be utilized to capture the moments of the ceremony. Please respect our wishes- we want to see our amazing guests in our photos, not their cell phones!
When is check-in/check-out?
Check-in is at 3pm on Friday, 02May2025. Both villas have been reserved for guests for the minimum stay of 3 nights. Check-out will be MONDAY, 05May2025.
After Sunday Brunch is over, guests are encouraged to hang out at Villa Valentini Bonaparte all day, enjoying the pool, gardens, and each other.
Where Should I Fly Into?
Villa Valentini Bonaparte is in between Florence & Rome Airports. Rome is more likely to have direct flights, however Florence is another great option and beautiful city. Travel options are up to the guest's travel plans.
Where Should I be Shopping?
For ladies, some options are Lulu's, Revolve, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue/Saks off Fifth, Bloomingdales, Asos, Meshki, Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack, et cetera! For men, tuxedos can be rented or purchased anywhere, including the above, plus Men's Wearhouse or Joseph A Bank. Unfortunately, renting a tuxedo is not an Italian custom, so this option is not available. Gentlemen are asked to bring their clothing in garment bags or in their luggage and can iron before the wedding.
