Our Story

Please note the following:

We kindly ask that you monitor the Covid-19 Updates section of our website because the restrictions are always changing! Thank you for understanding and for your help!

Where it all began:

Gabriella and Ari met at an interview for the School of Education at Hunter College in New York City during the Fall of 2010. By Spring 2011, they had caught each other’s eye and developed a relationship they knew was special and would last forever.

The proposal:

Ari was originally going to plan a graduation/surprise engagement party for Gabriella. Instead, Ari ended up proposing to Gabriella in the back of a friend’s car in the middle of the night. Despite plans going awry, they wouldn’t change a thing.

Our Response to Coronavirus

Save Our NEW Date

As you may have noticed, our wedding date has changed from Friday, July 31, 2020 to Sunday, July 4, 2021. Once COVID-19 turned into the pandemic we all know it to be, we immediately began wondering how all of our guests would be affected in the days, weeks, and months to come.

Currently, New York is shutdown, and there is still so much uncertainty as to when our world and lives will go back to normal. Although the plans for gradually reopening society aren’t concrete just yet, we are confident large, New York weddings are just not feasible this summer. In addition, we do not want anyone to feel uncomfortable or unsafe when traveling to or attending our wedding. We want you to eat, drink, dance, and be merry!

Needless to say, our hearts and minds told us that it was not the right time to hold our special day. We hope you understand our decision and that you are even more excited to celebrate with us on our new date! We could all use a good party after this is over and done with! Besides, we already have the most important things in the world—our health and our love for each other.

We sincerely hope that everyone is healthy and safe, and we love you all!

Love,

Gabriella & Ari

P.S. To all of the other couples affected by COVID-19, we send you extra hugs and hope your planning is effortless. You will have the beautiful celebration you deserve and worked for!
