When we first met
It was 2008 in Ann Arbor Michigan. Joe was entering into his sophomore year at the University of Michigan, and Gabrielle had moved to campus that very day to begin her freshman year.
Thanks to mutual acquaintances through Gabrielle’s brother, Sean, the two had a brief meeting and became fast friends.

Joe moved to Peoria, Illinois for his first big boy job with Caterpillar. Thus began a long journey of long distanced dating.

Gabrielle took a job which moved her to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, creating an even bigger distance between her and Joe.
Visits became difficult and were sometimes only possible in other amazing locations, like our favorite city, Ann Arbor.

Gabrielle took a job in Northern Virginia, leaving Joe behind in Baton Rouge (oops!). This was the greatest distance between the two during their 7 year relationship!
