On January 25, 2016, a blizzard smashed into Philadelphia, closing the schools and businesses. The next day, being off from work, Gab texted a coworker and asked if he wanted to get coffee at a local cafe. Drew, who had been captivated by this girl ever since they met 6 months earlier, said yes.

Gab and Drew have been inseparable ever since. The early days of the relationship encompassed a wide range of human experiences, from the most devastating to the most joyous. They supported each other when it was needed, they gave each other space when it was needed. Throughout it all, they continued to build their trust, their communication, and their love.

Georgetown Law School came-a-knockin’ for Gab, and with that came the opportunity for distance to help their hearts grow fonder. Drew & Gab used every opportunity that they could muster to see each other, including two Barristers Balls (law school prom), Super Bowl LII, and many birthdays and holidays in between. The couple even put their relationship to the ultimate test one summer and lived together in a studio apartment in South Philly. Gab did great in school (to nobody’s surprise) and moved back to Drew’s neck of the woods to start a position at a big law firm. While a worldwide contagion may have slowed some of the new beginnings that were to follow, it certainly did not derail them.

You can find Gab and Drew now comfortably living in the Fairmount neighborhood of Philadelphia. When they are not busy planning their next adventure, they can be found hiking the Wissahickon, playing around with their new air fryer, getting hyped about birds (let’s go Birds!) and oat milk lattes, or watching the latest music or mountaineering documentary.
