From his perspective:

Growing up reading stories about love in books like as Shakespeare, watching movies about stories of love like Jerry Maguire, seeing shows about love like How I Met Your Mother, I wondered what my story of love would be. What my story would look like. It turns out what I thought my story would be was far from, but also far better than I ever could have imagined.

After joining a trendy dating app, I matched with Gabby. I could see in her photo’s she had some animals, she wore boots, and all-round country. At the time I had no boots, no animals, living suburbia, and driving a Tesla. She looked gorgeous and thought there was something about her that was different, something special.

We went on our first date at a local bar/restaurant, and I thought it went well. At the end of the date, I walked her to vehicle and found out she drives a full-size truck. Fortunately, I parked further away so she couldn’t see me walk to Tesla. I knew Gabby was special right away by how she talked about her friends, family, and all her animals. I mentioned earlier I thought the date went well…I learned weeks later she didn’t think so, something about too much eye contact and that I kept bringing up that I am a pilot. But luckily it went good enough in her eyes to warrant a second date (I think because I said I am a pilot).

A couple dates later I asked Gabby to go to Circus Soleil. This was the first date I picked her up from her house. This was the date which I first started to truly realize what I was getting into. After driving down a dirt road in my freshly washed car, I pull into a gravel drive away. I got out and find myself looking at horses, chickens, a goat, a farm dog, and a duck. I knocked on the front door to be greeted by four dogs. I was thinking what “did I get into”, and I could tell that Gabby had the same thought when she walked out to my car in the driveway to see that I drive a Tesla. At dinner before the show, we talked about her animals I could see how kindhearted she by taking in and caring for so many animals and having work events at her farm for other to share in the experience.

Gabby and I continued to see each other, and in not much time I ended up with a pair of cowboy boot. Later I found myself mowing the pasture and cleaning out manure from the horse stalls. I changed a lot but enjoyed every bit of it.

There were three big levels which I achieved in our relationship those far. These levels are illustrated by the title which Gabby would give me when introducing me to others. First level was “Farm Hand”. When we would run into one of her neighbor’s while walking the dogs she would interduce me as her “Farm Hand”. The next level was “Boyfriend”. Even then she would first say I was her Farm Hand and also her Boyfriend. Next was fiancé, but of course still first, Farm Hand.

I am so happy to have met Gabby and look forward to the rest of our journey together as her Forever Farm Hand and Husband.
