Chautauqua Park is a historical landmark and a popular place to visit in Boulder for good reason. We absolutely love hiking here! Our favorite trails are Royal Arch, Gregory Canyon, and Bluebell Loop.
This is one of our favorite hikes in Colorado! It showcases waterfalls, wildflowers, and a beautiful mountain lake. Nederland is located 20 minutes from Boulder and has a more rural, quaint mountain town feel. Stop by the New Moon Bakery for a coffee.
A wonderful scenic drive in Boulder that offers stunning views of the area. Enjoy a picnic at the top where you'll be at an elevation of 7,000 feet.
Explore the historic pedestrian mall in downtown Boulder! Lots of shops and restaurants. Our favorites are: Avanti, Centro Mexican Kitchen, Mountain Sun Pub Brewery, and Boulder Baked.
Go explore one of the most beautiful national parks, located 45 minutes from Boulder. Our favorite summer hikes are Mills Lake (pictured above), Alberta Falls, and Dream Lake. Note that the park uses a timed-entry permit system in the summer and you will need to plan accordingly. If you're feeling a thrill, drive along Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuous paved road in the United States which soars at 12,183 feet.
The best park in Denver and one of our favorite places to walk with Ivy. Grab coffee at one of our go-to spots nearby: Stella's, Steam, Nixon's, or Wash Perk.
