Just a quick note to say a huge thank you for all your RSVPs. We’re getting very excited now that we’re only a month away!
A couple of quick updates to share:
— The ceremony will now start at 4:15pm. If you're using the shuttle service we've organised, we'll make sure you arrive in good time.
— Just a reminder to those being picked up from their accommodation before the wedding, please make sure you’ve added your address to the shuttle form if you haven’t already. Heke Bus will be in touch a couple of days before with your pick-up time/location.
— With most guests staying on the island (which we love!), unfortunately we didn’t quite hit the minimum numbers needed to charter a ferry home. For anyone not staying on Waiheke, there will be a shuttle leaving the venue at 10:30pm to connect with the last public ferry at 11:00pm.
If you have any questions, please give us a shout.
Can’t wait to celebrate with you all very soon!
Here’s a rough idea of how the day will flow (times are approximate — just relax and enjoy the ride!):
4:00pm — Guests arrive
4:15pm — Ceremony at 'The Lodge'
4:45pm — Canapés and drinks
7:00pm — Dinner and speeches in 'The Restaurant'
9:30/10:00pm — Dancing kicks off
10:00pm — Shuttles begin running
10:30pm — Shuttle departs for 11:00pm ferry (last ferry)
1:00am — Venue closes
Transport can be a little tricky on Waiheke, so we’ve organised a shuttle service with Heke Bus to make things easy for everyone. In addition to your RSVP, you’ll need to complete a short shuttle form (see link below) — this is required for all guests, whether you’re coming over on the ferry or staying on the island.
— If you’re coming over on the ferry: We’ll have a shuttle waiting for guests arriving on the 3:00pm ferry from Auckland. If you’re arriving on a different ferry, you’ll need to make your own way to the venue.
— If you’re staying on the island: You’ll be collected directly from your accommodation or a nearby collection point. Afternoon pick-ups will run between 3:15pm and 3:45pm. Heke Bus will confirm your pick-up time a few days before the wedding so please ensure you complete the shuttle form.
— If you’re driving to the venue: Please park in the Restaurant carpark and make your way up to 'The Lodge' (5-minute walk) where the Ceremony will take place. You may leave your car in the carpark overnight if needed.
— If you would like to arrange your own transport: We recommend pre-booking a taxi in advance.
Please complete the shuttle form here by 5th November. We only need one person from each couple/group to complete the form. If you don't have your accommodation address yet, please still complete the form and make sure to update the address as soon as you have it.
We’ve arranged a revolving shuttle service running from 10:00pm onwards to take guests back to their accommodation throughout the evening.
For guests heading back to Auckland, there will be one fixed departure from the venue at 10:30pm to meet the 11:00pm ferry (the last ferry of the night).
There are plenty of options to stay overnight on Waiheke, from boutique hotels and vineyard stays to Airbnb houses. We recommend booking early as it’s a popular spot and a public holiday weekend.
To keep the celebrations going, we’ll be hosting a casual recovery afternoon the next day at Rangihoua Villa on Waiheke. Join us anytime between 12:00pm and 4:00pm for a laid-back BBQ, drinks, good tunes, and a final cheers before everyone heads home.
Feel free to stop by and relax by the pool. Bring yourself and your togs/towel if you fancy a swim. We'd love to see the kiddos as well.

We honestly don’t expect gifts. Your effort to get to Waiheke (especially for those coming from overseas) means so much to us already. Your presence and enthusiasm on the dance floor is all we need, but if you’d like to contribute to our honeymoon fund, we'll make sure to live it up!

We’ve hired an amazing photographer and videographer to capture the day, so you can relax and enjoy the moment without worrying about your camera roll.
Feel free to take your own photos throughout the day — just please avoid taking photos or videos during the ceremony, and hold off sharing any shots of the bride and groom until we’ve had the chance to share a few of our own.
You’ll see (and definitely hear) our videographer floating around — he’s an absolute legend, so don’t be shy if he points a camera your way!
Before the wedding day, if you have any questions or need any help, please reach out to Gaby or Ollie — we'd be more than happy to help you out.
On the day, if you have any issues with transport, please reach out to Heke Bus (+64 20 437 2372). For anything else, please reach out to Matt Holdgate (+64 21 103 2296).
