Only a 1 hour drive away from Fort Collins, Rock Mountain National Park is a treasure trove of picturesque scenes and hiking trails for all skill levels.
In order to enter the park, you will need to get a timed entry reservation ahead of time. There are a limited number of reservations that are released at 5 pm the day before.
Horsetooth Rock is an icon within Fort Collins. It is hard to miss it, especially if you drive West along Horsetooth Road.
This is a strenuous 6 mile loop hike that will give you picturesque views of the Colorado Front Range and eventually will end at the iconic geographic formation.
There is a $10 per car entry fee to get into the open space.
Old Town Fort Collins is the gem of Fort Collins. It is located near the Colorado State University Campus and boasts a variety of boutique shops, excellent restaurants, and breweries.
The Fort Collins Museum of Discovery is within walking distance and a great place to explore scientific principles through interactive and kid-friendly exhibits.
