Gabby came home from college for the long weekend and went to a party in Wakefield with her friend on Saturday October 9, 2015. Shortly after arriving, Gabby was introduced to Nick and they shook hands and agreed it was nice to meet each other. Some time passed and Gabby decided to go find Nick again and proceeded to say,"hey, you know you almost broke my hand earlier, right?" Nick laughed and they began a real conversation. Gabby asked Nick to tell her three things about himself and she remembers him saying, "I want to be a PA or a Firefighter, I'm loyal, and I like to have a good time". They exchanged phone numbers and Nick texted Gabby the following day to ask her on a date. He kept the location a surprise and Gabby was delighted when she ended up at Lucca in the North End. For dessert, Nick introduced Gabby to Bova’s Bakery, which became her new favorite (sorry, Modern’s). Before he dropped her off at home, he asked her on a second date to a Halloween party. After that, Nick visited Gabby at Framingham State University most Friday nights to get dinner at their favorite sushi place. Six months later on April 9, Nick took Gabby back to Lucca… and Bovas…and asked her to be his girlfriend when they got back in his Jeep. He kept a bouquet of flowers hidden in the trunk just in case she said no. Fast forward, they bought a house in Wakefield December 2022, Nick proposed in their kitchen on a random Wednesday night, and they are saying “I do” on the same weekend they met nine years ago.
