It took some time before we met, our whole lives actually, up until 2023. We spent our younger years living in the same states, sometimes overlapping our stays in Washington, Colorado, and then finally Oklahoma. After years of unknowingly following each other around, living on the same street, working in the same hospital, in typical millennial fashion we met on a dating app. Our first date we can both confidently say is unlike any other date we both had been on. We spent the beginning of our date chatting about all the things were finding out we had in common. Once the meal had ended the date did not end with it. Taking advantage of the beautiful weather, good company, and our common love of paddle boarding we headed out to the lake together, Shell Lake. After paddle boarding we continued the date at a brew pub where Michael played in his beer league volleyball game. A first date that lasted an entire day. From that day on, we made an effort to see each other every day, even for just a few minutes. It was during these times that we had deep conversation that were crucial to building the foundation of our relationship. To think back to where we came, everything we had on common, and the relationship we created. I guess you can call it fate.
