Although we adore your children, we have decided to make our big day an adults only event.

We invite you to be fully present with us. To ensure we capture this once in a lifetime moment perfectly, we have hired talented professional photographers and videographers to capture this beautiful and special event. We would be absolutely devastated to have individuals in the photos and video of our ceremony taking pictures or videos with their phone or cameras; we want to look back on our pictures and see all of your smiling faces and not phones and cameras waving in the air. We ask that you please refrain from this and keep all devices turned off and put away during the ceremony. Once the cocktail hour has begun, please feel free to take photos and videos throughout the remainder of the evening. We encourage you to send them to the bride and groom and to tag them in the pictures when posting them online.

Formal Attire. We ask that men wear a suit and tie and women wear a midi or knee-length cocktail dress. We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride - white, ivories, and creams.

Both the ceremony and reception will be located at The Riverview, located at 10 Winslow Pl, Weatogue, CT 06089.

There is ample parking on-site that the Riverview provides.

We are working with the Simsbury Inn, located at 397 Hopmeadow Street, Weatogue, CT (almost right across the street from the venue). When making a reservation there, please call them and inform them that you are apart of the "Ward wedding" so you can get a discounted rate. Rooms book quickly, so make sure to make your reservation well in advance. Please go to the "travel" tab for more details.

The wedding ceremony will take place outside under a decorated tent. Cocktail hour and the reception will take place inside. During the event, there is an outdoor patio and grounds that are available for you to utilize throughout the night.

Invitations are limited to specified guests only. We appreciate your support and appreciation of our union. We are only able to accommodate guests named on the invitations.

Hors d'oeuvres will be served at cocktail hour, followed by a sit-down dinner with your choice of entree that you will select when you RSVP. Hors D'Oeuvres: brown sugar glazed scallops wrapped in bacon, asparagus and asiago wrapped in phyllo, mini Chesapeake Bay crab cakes with remoulade sauce, mini Nashville hot chicken sandwiches with dill pickles, fried goat cheese medallions in a raspberry balsamic glaze, and pancetta and arugula croquettes. Entree options: rosemary butter seared filet mignon, chicken piccata, pan seared Atlantic salmon, and eggplant Napoleon. Prior to the entrees, you will be served with a penne ala vodka dish and a Caesar salad. Should there be any allergies, please alert us ASAP with advanced notice so we can ensure your safety and accommodate your needs.

Yes! There will be an open bar offering two signature "bride and groom" cocktails along with a selection of the finest spirits. Please bring cash to tip the hard-working bartenders during the wedding. For the safety of the guests, The Riverview has a 'No Shot' policy at the bar, and the bartenders are not able to serve shots before or during the event. The Riverview does not permit you to bring your own alcohol into the venue.

We're looking forward to celebrating with you on our big day. Having you attend our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, if you're looking for wedding gift ideas, we have set up a honeymoon fund and a home renovation fund that can be found in the "registry" tab.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30pm, so please ensure you arrive at least 30 minutes in advance. After the wedding ceremony there will be a cocktail hour serving hors d'oeuvres followed by a sit-down dinner. After the dinner we welcome everyone to hit the dance floor and party the rest of the night away with us. The wedding will end at 9:30pm.
