There's an actual sandy beach and a really nice walking path above the reservoir which makes for a nice, easy outing in a gorgeous surrounding. There’s also free kayak and SUP rentals and roped off swimming lanes.

For a leisurely stroll right outside The Wylder, look no further than Windham Path. The 1.5-mile trail is family- and dog-friendly and features the iconic covered bridge, perfect for a photo-op or simply a peaceful moment.

Boasting a 260-foot waterfall, Kaaterskill Falls (from Laurel House Road trailhead) is a 1.7 mile out-and-back trail. It’s moderately challenging, but the views are certainly worth it!

Difficult and strenuous but not terribly long. Absolutely the best views of any hike in the area but you have to earn it. There are plenty of side trails and different ways to go up so do a little research beforehand.

From the Big Hollow Trailhead, begin heading uphill following the Black Dome Range Trail. This trail will lead all the way to Black Dome summit.
