Our Wedding

Where it started is the same as our relationship: Simple but profound, with God at the center. June 23rd, 2024, Garrett decided to start attending the Well again, and on that first day, God introduced and blessed us with the presence of our future spouse. Although we just exchanged names and small talked at first, there was already a mutual connection through our good friend Ian Kruger, who's first name is still Garretts middle name in Kristens phone. We then met later that evening at what's known as The Flora House for a night of games with some of their friend circle. There was immediate chemistry, which strangely enough, was found out through a game of catchphrase. From there, Kristen followed Garrett on instagram while he was literally running home, and he almost immediately expressed interest and initiated conversation. After a few more mutual hangouts with our dear friends and thought/prayer put into it, Garrett decided he wanted to pull the trigger. Kristen really enjoyed talking with Garrett so she said yes but didn’t know what he was looking for so was a bit unsure about a nice dinner when Garrett asked to take Kristen to Pismos. Garrett would say in hindsight was too formal for a first date. Fast forward a few days later to July 6th, we had a YoPro event where we played board games together, and after the event, Garrett offered to help clean up and chat about further details. Unbeknownst to both of us, this would be a monumental stepping stone towards our marriage. We talked for hours, both about casual things, and intentions for each other on the curb of the residence while stargazing. According to Garrett: as beautiful of a night as it had been, the true beauty was right in front of his face, both inside and out. Garrett had fallen in love with her right then and there, and he knew this was someone he could choose to love every day, that he could do life with. According to Kristen; she really saw Garrett’s intention and heart and felt at peace and excited to get to know him more. She appreciated him not only listening to her concern but taking time right there to chat about it as we sat on the curb of the house we hosted at. Garrett got a further blessing the next day upon Kristens request from his mentor as he was starting re:gen at the time, and once it was given, we went on our first date to sushi n pop. Kristen and Garrett both chatted with mutual friends to get input and everyone was very supportive which further brought peace to starting going on dates and getting to know each other one on one. The rest is pretty much history. We have always done our best to put God at the center, we've served together, been through trials together, completed merge, made many new amazing memories together between each other and our mutual community, met each others families, and continually sought proper council about the trajectory of our relationship. All of these things have culminated into what you see here, two people who truly choose to love each other each and every day coming together as one under God.
