Our Story
We Swiped Right!
After about two months of talking online, we finally met in person at Nauticus in Norfolk, three days after Christmas. Garrett showed up in shorts, a polo, and ankle socks, a bold choice, but somehow it worked.
There was no awkward “three-day rule” after that. After almost three months of talking, he asked to make it official, and just like that, our relationship began, mostly long distance, always intentional, and very much worth the miles.
Q + A
What time should guests arrive?
Please arrive 15–30 minutes before the start of the 5:30 PM ceremony to allow time to park and be seated.
Will there be parking available?
Yes! Both the ceremony and reception venues have ample on-site parking available for our guests.
Will the ceremony be unplugged?
Yes. We kindly ask guests to put away phones and be fully present during the ceremony. Don’t worry, you’re welcome to take as many photos as you’d like during the reception!
Can we post photos on social media?
Yes! We’d love for you to share photos from the reception. Feel free to use our wedding hashtag #TeamGarrettandGrace
Where will the reception take place?
The reception will be held outdoors in the farmhouse garden. For comfort, we recommend bringing a light jacket in case it gets cool in the evening. Patio heaters will be available throughout the reception.
Can I bring a plus-one?
Due to limited resources, we’re only able to accommodate guests listed on the invitation and RSVP. Thank you so much for understanding.
Can I bring my children?
To allow all guests to fully enjoy the celebration, our ceremony and reception will be adults-only. We hope you have a wonderful evening with us.
