It all began online on January 5, 2025. Neither of us knew that a simple message would lead to something so special. After chatting for a bit, we decided to meet in person — and Lauren came to watch one of Gavin’s basketball games. From there, everything just clicked.

After a few hangouts filled with laughter (and a fair amount of playful teasing), Gavin surprised Lauren with a Valentine’s gift and asked her to be his girlfriend on February 8, 2025. From that day forward, we were inseparable — calling, texting, and spending time together every single day.

One rainy day — the kind of day we both love — Gavin took Lauren, his sister Gwynn, and her boyfriend Jace up the canyon for what he called a “ghost photoshoot.” Despite the weather, the day was perfect. As we walked back across a little bridge, rain falling softly around us, Gavin stopped, turned to Lauren, and asked her to marry him on October 4, 2025.

Now, we’re counting down the days until we say “I do” on April 24, 2026 — ready to start forever together, still teasing, still laughing, and still each other’s favorite person to “bully” when we’re around friends. ❤️
