Gavin and Meleah met as just little tots in the first grade at Stetson Elementary. Their baby brothers played together on the same soccer team around that time. During one of the games, Gavin mentioned to his mom “hey that girl is in my class” in reference to Meleah. His mom replies “you should go play with her”, and Gavin responds “no that’s okay”. As fate would have it, a new elementary would open up and took Meleah with it.

Gavin and Meleah’s paths wouldn’t cross again until middle school. They ran in similar friend groups but never really talked all that much. This was until the universe put them in the same study hall class in eighth grade. They sat close together and always made small talk. Just jokingly, Meleah says one day “you just watch we’re gonna get married one day”, because Gavin would get very awkward around Meleah. She just thought that would be a funny thing to say.

Fast forward a couple years. It was sophomore year of high school and once again the stars aligned for two business minded teens looking to beef up their college resumes. They were in the same business club and there was a state competition they’d both be attending. She made the first move and with the encouragement of all the other club members, it stuck.

They have now been together for eight plus years, share a lot of laughs, a beautiful home, and two lil doggies.
