Cam and Gem have plenty of great recommendations for making the most of your time in the Great Southern region, including some of our personal favourite spots! Keep an eye out for the itinerary closer to the date . Activities will depend on the weather. Expect a mix of adventure and relaxation, with options like hiking, surfing, fishing, and 4WD trips on the cards.
A calm, stunning beach surrounded by granite boulders. Perfect for swimming, snorkelling, and relaxing. Might be a good spot for a hangover cure for Sunday morning! You can also check out the beautiful Elephant Rocks!
Make sure you drive down a bit further from Greens pool to check out Madfish bay. While the tide is low you can walk out to the island but be careful there is a strong rip.
If you are at Parrys Beach you should check out Hillers Beach, spectacular!
Great winery! Take your own food such as a cheeseboard and enjoy the amazing Great Southern Wine. We recommend you do the tasting session.
Parry’s Beach in Denmark is one of our favourite spots for four-wheel driving and surfing. We love its wide sandy beaches and perfect waves, great spot for learning.
Ocean Beach in Denmark, WA is a favourite spot for surfing, swimming, and soaking up the coastal views. Great to get it on a day when the inlet goes blue, just like in our photo!
Epic brewery and home to Gem and Cams favourite ginger beer, tingle top!
If you are feeling up for a challenge get up early and climb bluffy! Great views and a good climb. Try not to do it on a 32 degree day like Cam and I.
Little Beach is another of our favourites — it’s well worth the drive and absolutely breathtaking.
Bald Head trial walk is one of our favourite hikes (12.5km return). Surrounded by stunning beaches such as Misery beach and Salmon Holes.
The Uredale Point Heritage Trail is a spectacular 5km loop that provides some great views of the Albany Port, King George Sound and Vancouver Peninsula. The walk takes you along the cliffs above Whalers Cove and on to the beaches of Vancouver Peninsula, providing some breathtaking views of Albany and its surrounds.
