Eric and I first officially met through a mutual friend, Sarah Skinner, March 17, 2013. Sarah mentioned that she knew a guy that might be a good match for me. After looking at his Facebook profile, I recognized him from coming into Mac's Bar, but knew nothing about him. Eric invited Sarah and I to the Soup Spoon Cafe so we could meet and see if there was a spark. Eric was our server that night, and while he was running around bartending and serving others, we were able to chat a bit here and there and the conversation came very easy! I thought he was really cute, was mesmerized by his blue eyes, and the butterflies were definitely aflutter. Afterwards, Sarah and I headed down the street to Stober's Bar for more drinks and girl talk. When Eric was done working, he sent me a message about how nice it was to meet me, how we have a lot in common, and asked me on our first date. He was playing it pretty cool. Then he sent a message to Sarah exclaiming how beautiful he thought I was. He was so excited, and I was excited too. Excited to take a chance, to venture down the road of life together which, after 13 years, has led us here to our wedding day!
So the first time I knew I was falling for Genelle. We took a trip up north very early when we were dating. To a friend of mines property who had a TP out in the woods. This was within the first couple months of our dating so we were really starting to get to know each other. That night we sat around the campfire and I put on one of my favorite albums of all time sublime 40 oz to freedom. To my surprise Genelle knew every single word to every single song. We shared some drinks and sang that entire album song for song covered to cover. It was such a great moment I knew that I could definitely be falling for this girl. And here we are 13 years later. Taking the biggest commitment a couple can take. I love her with all my heart. We have stuck together in good times and bad. We've lasted doing long distance longer than anyone thought possible. From here on out the sky's the limit between us two. I love you Genelle and can't wait to spend my life with you!!!!!
