Our story began during the start of Covid-19 at O'Hare airport in April of 2020. Genesis was on her way to visit family in Iowa, while Ethan was on his way to pick up his friend from the airport. Genesis was getting some food delivered to the airport and as Ethan arrived, she thought he was her Uber driver coming to deliver her food. After she found out he was not there to deliver her food, he helped her out and they began to chat while waiting. He was immediately drawn to her happy and outgoing personality while she found him to be a quiet and intriguing individual. When Ethan found out her name was Genesis, this sparked an immediate connection between their belief in God. As Genesis finished her food, Ethan asked for her snapchat and they went their ways. For the next few months, during the peak of the covid crisis, they got to know each other through numerous FaceTime and phone calls. In August of 2020, Ethan drove out to Iowa to take Genesis out on their first official date. It was by doing so that he fell even more in love with who Genesis was after getting to know her more in person. It was during his time in Iowa that he asked her to be his girlfriend. Her spontaneous, energetic, and bubbly personality is what motivates him to drive all those hours. Their relationship has been filled with exciting moments, stressful times, tough obstacles, beautiful memories, and always full of laughter. And through every minute of it, God's presence is always felt and continues to give them strength when they are far. On February 14th of 2021, Ethan brought Genesis to what divides but also brings Illinois and Iowa together - the Mississippi River. He chose to propose to her at the Stone Cliff winery & restaurant which is located on the rivers edge. On April 6th of 2021, they chose to elope in Joliet, Illinois and had their traditional wedding ceremony in California on November 14, 2021. They currently live in the Jefferson Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, and are enjoying all the wonderful things it has to offer. On Christmas of 2021, they found out they were expecting a baby boy during the immediate family gender reveal party! And now they look forward to this long-anticipated celebration with you as they celebrate their marriage and expectant son who is due on June 14th, 2022.
