<p>I met Genesis at church in 2016, but for about a year we only exchanged “hello’s” and other small conversations. During the summer of 2017, a simple and random phone call became the domino effect that begins our story. We shared many late night phone calls that went on for hours, and FaceTiming as we fell asleep became my favorite pass-time. Our first date was at a Creamistry where I am sure I traumatized her with my driving. After months of some of the most awkward dates that either one of us had ever been on, I finally had the courage to make it official. January 16th of 2019 at 9:45 pm, I stood outside her window and serenaded the woman of my dreams with a poem while it was cold and raining… and I was barefooted. Nearly 2 years later, on December 10th, we went on our first trip together and got engaged in a beautiful mountain trail of Colorado. Over a year of planning later and here we are, about to combine our lives, families and futures into one in front of our loved ones. What started out as a random phone call has lead to me getting to marry my best friend, and I can not wait to see what else life has in store for us.</p>
