Our Wedding

Both fitness fanatics, Adam and I&nbsp;met through Crossfit. He was my coach, and the first time we met was for my initial fitness assessment.&nbsp; 

When Adam is nervous, he's very serious. When I'm nervous I make awkward jokes. He laughed at NONE of my jokes, and I told someone that I did not think Adam and I would ever be friends because he didn't think I was funny. (Fortunately, he quickly figured out that I am HILARIOUS! Okay, maybe I'm only one who thinks that!)&nbsp;

Once he figured out my&nbsp;(amazing)&nbsp;sense of humor,&nbsp;Adam became my coach, my workout buddy,&nbsp;my closest confidant, and my favorite friend. We were both dating other people, so our friendship was completely without pretense. He saw me at my absolute worst (we're talking super early morning workouts, and career-change-induced ugly crying) and he liked me any way.&nbsp; In turn,&nbsp;I helped him through one of the most difficult and&nbsp;devastating periods of his life: when he had to shave his beloved beard for work.&nbsp;

We&nbsp;partnered up for Crossfit competitions and had so much fun working together (and even came in second place !). When our respective relationships ended, dating didn't even occur to us until we took our teammwork outside of the gym, and started working on projects together at my house. Our friendship in and out of the gym led to fun and success (and some really lovely hardwood floors!)- the transition into dating was the easiest and best decision I ever made.&nbsp;

Adam proposed on September 29th during my family's vacation to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Surrounded by my favorite people in my favorite place, it was absolutely perfect.&nbsp;

I can't wait to marry my best friend, my favorite workout partner, greatest coach, and guy who laughs at all (okay, most) of my jokes &lt;3&nbsp;

"And sometimes, if you're really lucky, you'll find out your soulmate was disguised as your best friend the whole time".
