A delightful hub for dining and shopping and this is where our hotel block is located. Across the street, you'll find Mellon Park, a nice spot for leisurely strolls. We love City Kitchen for trivia nights and brunch, where we even won a signed Kenny Pickett football.
One of our favorite areas in Pittsburgh is the Strip District which has shopping, coffee shops, restaurants and breweries. Geoff's favorite coffee shop in the Strip is La Prima which is right around the corner from a groovy donut shop founded in Pittsburgh, called Peace, Love and Little Donuts if you're looking for something sweet.
The Terminal has lots to do including Puttshack, which is a restaurant and bar that includes an upscale tech-infused mini golf course, as well as Aslin Brewery and City Winery.
Another one of our favorite spots is Coop De Ville which is a fast-casual restaurant bar which has great chicken and includes duckpin bowling and arcade games.
PNC Park, on Pittsburgh's North Shore, is home of the Pittsburgh Pirates and boasts one of the best views of the Pittsburgh skyline. The Phillies are in town for a 3-game series with games on Friday through Sunday! Yinzerpalooza will be going on down by the ballpark too. Let's Go Bucs!
Pitt's campus is right down the street from our wedding venue and a great place to stay during the weekend!
You can walk around campus for a while and check out some of the sites, including the Cathedral of Learning (which some say reminds them of Hogwarts). The Carnegie Museum of Art and Carnegie Museum of Natural History are also near campus or you can check out our wedding venue, Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.
If you're looking for a Pittsburgh favorite, Pamela's diner is a great breakfast spot with many options and are known for their delicious crepe style pancakes. Primanti's is another popular Pittsburgh spot with sandwiches that include french fries on them.
Hemingways is our favorite bar on campus. And down the street is The Porch (which wasn't on campus when we were there) but is a restaurant where we went on our third date after going to a Pitt basketball game. Hail to Pitt!
