Welcome to our story!

It was a brisk March morning in 2017 when our paths first crossed at the Orthodox Christian Spring Gathering in Cleveland. George, cleverly introduced by his crafty brother, entered my life with a smile that hinted at future promises. As the seasons turned, our paths intertwined again in June at the Annual Parish Life Conference. Amidst spirited discussions and laughter, our Snapchat streak began—a modern ribbon tying our fates together as I wandered through Palestine.

In my masterful dance of keeping him in the friend zone, George was resolute, a true knight not deterred by my playful defenses. When he finally laid down the gauntlet after a year of this charming ballet, declaring his heart could take no more sidelines, the truth bubbled up within me. Under the soft glow of streetlights, post-basketball game, the words tumbled out, and the immense relief and joy in his wide, bright smile was the stuff of fairy tales. This was the moment he'd been dreaming of, and so, it seemed, had I.

Our journey from that fateful confession to now has been filled with the kind of love that novels are written about. From Flushing, MI, to Youngstown, OH, our hearts have built a bridge no distance could dismantle. As we near 3000 days of connection (with Snapchat as our witness), we stand on the threshold of a new chapter—not just as a couple but as a family.
