Fly direct Melbourne to Hamilton Island. All direct flights depart Melbourne in the morning only and arrive in Hamilton Island around lunch time. Flight time is 3 hours.

Getting Around the island
Golf buggies are the most common form of transport on the Island however they can be quite expensive. If you choose to book a house, they are generally included in your stay. Police do have a high presence on the Island so please be mindful of alcohol consumption & seatbelt usage in the buggies (we know from experience).
There is a free shuttle available from all hotels and local stops between 6.50am - 11pm- this is our recommended mode of transport. Download the Hamilton Island App for the full timetable.
