Eric and Georgie met at a very unique time in their lives. One, it was during the height of the pandemic in August of 2020. It was frowned upon to even go outside at this time so they met on a dating app called Hinge. They matched on the app and instantly had a strong connection and would talk about everything from their favorite baseball teams, likes and dislikes, and even that they grew up only a couple blocks away from each other and surprisingly had never met before.

The second reason it was unique for them was that Eric had ACL surgery scheduled only a couple weeks after they matched online. This meant that even though they hit it off right away, that they would have to wait until after the surgery and recovery to even have a first date. They would text and talk on the phone everyday from August when they met, through the surgery and physical therapy all the way until October 30th, 2020 when they finally had their first date at one of their favorite places to this day: Chili’s.

Finally seeing each other in person made it clear that this was something special and they grew closer and more in love with each other every day. They would spend all their time with each other and it wasn’t long at all until they moved in together and even got a cat named Cedric. They lived together for over a year when Eric finally got the courage to ask her to spend the rest of their lives together. He asked her the question walking on the sand at Huntington Beach which is another one of their favorite places. She of course said yes!

Eric and Georgie love traveling, hanging out with friends, arguing over who’s baseball team is better (even though Eric knows the Angels suck), visiting all of the MLB stadiums together (they have visited 8 out of 30), and enjoying quiet nights at home with their kitty. They cannot wait to see what the future holds and all the exciting memories they will get to share together for the rest of their lives.
