Here in St.Paul’s Bay is an all inclusive hotel for those wanting to stay longer than a few days where we’ll be staying ourselves.

There are plenty of self catering hotels in and all around Malta at extremely good prices.

Malta being a small island distance from other guests and ceremony won’t be an issue where ever you choose to stay.

Transport to and from Wedding

Rest assured we will be arranging transport for all guests to picked up and dropped off from our hotel, times of transport will be updated at a later date.

Flights

You can get flights from Bristol (although the flight times can be a bit crap from here).

Birmingham, Gatwick and East Midlands all fly to Malta for all around the same prices.

Love Holidays and Booking.com have some good prices for both flights and hotels.

Passports - Malta is part of the EU, British passport holders do not need a visa and can stay as long as they as they wish.

Getting around Malta - There are plenty of buses to take you where ever it is you'd like to visit starting from 2 euros however we found using 'Bolt.' is great and works in the exact same same way as Uber, just download the app and you're away.

Plenty of Ferries to take you over to Valletta and Gozo for 2-3euros each.

Car Hire - Malta being a small Island you can drive around in one day! Here they drive on the left and a UK driving license is accepted. (Car hires are pretty cheap here!)

Spoken language in Malta - Malta has two official languages: English and Maltese, most of the population speak both and business, road and tourist site signs being in English.

Changing Money - Malta's currency is the Euro. Banks are easy to find and all can exchange your pounds. Although many places accept cards some local shops and restaurants do not.

Time Zone - Malta is one hour ahead of the UK.

Weather - Malta in May (the very reason we picked this month) will reach temperatures of a comfortable 23c during the day and around 15c at night. We saw temperatures of 27c whilst in May. At night we always took either a shirt or some kind of light jacket, it can get chilly at the waterfront with some low winds.

Safety - Malta is one of the safest countries in Europe! Locals are super friendly.

Water in Malta - Malta's tap water is perfectly safe to drink.

Health - There are plenty of pharmacy's, doctors and hospitals in Malta! I found the pharmacy's really helpful when we needed them (can get expensive)
